It's time to celebrate, have fun, and eat too much!
The
11th annual Hardyville Days Celebration brings a chance to put aside
the cares and burdens of daily life in these busy times and just have
fun. And it's all free! There is no admission charge for any part of
Hardyville Days.
Free parking is available in the chamber lot at the south side of the park. Shuttle carts will continuously
pick up and drop off people coming to and from the activities area. Another parking lot
is on the north side of the park.
The
Bullhead City Community Park and Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce
building will come alive with color and action, and be filled with
treats for all the senses.
The steam whistles of the old paddle wheelers have given way to the strains of music and merriment along the historic
Colorado River.
This year's celebration begins Thursday, Oct.
18 with the kick off dinner, presented by the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Oct. 19 - 21, will feature something for everybody in the way of events and attractions,
contests, competitions, displays, and demonstrations of goods and services.
New this year; Ferris Wheel, scramble and a merry go round
along with carnival games.
Once
again, the lower level of the Chamber building will be brimming with
arts and crafts lovingly made by artisans mainly from the Tri-State
region. Ceramics, quilts, pottery, paintings, sculptures, and much more
are featured in booths filling the main hall. "Instant Art" is applied
to anyone by a talented face painter.
Food and beverages abound under and around the park's large ramada and elsewhere on the grounds. The ramada provides
shade and plenty of tables and chairs with a view of the river and the main stage.
The north end of the ramada is set aside for special events, live music, dance programs and contests.
Chairs are set up to
give folks a good view of the goings-ons.
Dozens of vendors line the grassy areas of the park, framed by giant trees providing shade and a unique atmosphere.
